DAYTONA BEACH, Fla — Red Deer’s Adrienne White got off a slow start at the 2011 LPGA qualifying school Wednesday.
White shot a five-over par 77 to sit tied for 88th following the first of five rounds.
White had four bogeys and one birdie on the front for a 39 and was even on the back until bogeying the 17th and 18th.
The top 72 and ties following the third round Friday will make the cut. The top finishers, yet to be announced, will qualify for the LPGA next season with the others who make the cut on the Future’s Tour, which White was a member of this season. She finished in a tie for 33rd at last year’s Q school.
