Why are we spending money to look after others’ strays?

Do we not have enough strays locally that we have to import them? The shelters are always looking for donations as they are running out of room and need to expand, yet they keep bringing them in from out of country. Let the U.S. take care of it’s own stray pets.

I’m sure the people are getting tired of donating to pet shelters so the shelter management can keep building more spaces. It looks like job protection more than the need of more space. We have a lot more places in our country to donate our money to instead of bringing in out-of-country pets.

Yes, we hate to euthanize pets but sometimes it has to be done.
