CALGARY — Alberta’s Wildrose Alliance Party says the best way to fund education is to have the tax dollars follow the student.

Party leader Danielle Smith says encouraging choice and competition is the best way to deliver education.

The party, in releasing its education platform, also says it will work to make sure students struggling in certain areas get the attention they need to learn at their own pace.

The party also took a run at the governing Progressive Conservatives.

Party education critic Rob Anderson says the Tories built schools in Calgary not where they were needed but in places that would win them favour with voters in tightly-contested ridings.
