WINNIPEG — Police have charged two men in an attempted firebombing that has been linked to a turf war between biker gangs.

Taylor Brett Morrison, who is 23, and Shaine Gerald Stodgell, who is 33, face charges including arson and possession of incendiary material.

Police say the two are associates of a biker gang that is battling a rival gang for the city’s drug trade.

The two are accused of trying to ignite a tattoo parlour in the Osborne Village district early Tuesday morning.

Stodgell has also been charged with setting fire to another business on July 10 — one of several firebombings and shootings this summer that police say are part of the gang war.

Const. Jason Michalyshen says more arrests may be looming.
