Woman appeals killing conviction

A Central Alberta woman sentenced to four years in prison for killing her husband has filed an appeal of her conviction.

CALGARY — A Central Alberta woman sentenced to four years in prison for killing her husband has filed an appeal of her conviction.

Heather Wilson-Duncan, who is 63, was found guilty last month of manslaughter with a firearm.

Barry Duncan, who was 68, was found shot to death in their rural home near Didsbury in December 2010. Wilson-Duncan’s case is to be spoken to in the Calgary Court of Appeal on May 13.
