CALGARY — Police say they suspect a Calgary woman who died on the weekend took ecstasy at a nightclub.
Investigators believe the 22-year-old and a friend were drinking at the downtown club and took street drugs, including ecstasy.
Early Saturday, paramedics were called to a home in south Calgary where a woman was said to be in medical distress.
She died a short time later.
Police say the woman’s friend was taken to hospital, but her condition was not life-threatening.
An autopsy is scheduled for next week.
