Shauna Steier, 49, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault Monday.
Court heard that she stabbed Const. Barry Steier on Jan. 18 following an argument about a camera.
Steier’s heart stopped briefly from the wound, but he has since recovered.
In a statement in court she apologized and said she hopes for forgiveness one day from her family and friends.
Her sentence was reduced by one-year for time spent in pre-trial custody and charges of attempted murder and assault with a weapon were withdrawn.
