A woman charged in connection with the strangulation death of a man in Red Deer in January will be sentenced on Dec. 16.
William McDonald, 40, originally of Miramichi, N.B., was found dead in a Forest Close residence on Jan. 20.
Jolyn Ten Hove, 37, of Red Deer, originally charged with second-degree murder, was scheduled for a preliminary hearing this week, which did not go ahead.
Earlier in the month, she pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact and the second-degree murder charge was withdrawn.
In November, Martin Munro, 37, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death, admitting to strangling his long-time friend during a fight.
He was sentenced to five years in jail.
