Three local women will be honoured at a luncheon on Friday March 8 in celebration of International Women’s Day. Soroptimist International of Central Alberta is organizing the luncheon, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Black Knight Inn in Red Deer. Award winners for 2013 include: Heather Hood (Women’s Opportunity Award); Rebecca Epp (Violet Richardson Award); and Dagmar Hargreaves (Ruby Award: Women helping Women). Also, Red Deer College’s Patricia Rokosh will deliver the afternoon’s keynote address entitled Women In the Trades.
