Danielle Wotherspoon of Red Deer posted a time of 39.32 seconds to finish 22nd in the IUS World Cup Final 500-metre speed skating competition Saturday in Berlin, Germany.
l Red Deer’s Gillian Richmond, with a time of 47.109 seconds, placed 19th in the women’s 500m final at the national short track speed skating selections Sunday in Calgary.
She also finished 10th in the 3,000m with a time 5:33.425 and 11th overall in points.
