The Blackfalds Wranglers jumped into a 3-1 first-period lead and went on to down the Medicine Hat Cubs 7-5 in Heritage Junior B Hockey League play at home Sunday.
Jared Williams and Justin Lawson scored two goals each for the Wranglers with single goals added by Jared Guilbault, Chad Muth and Stephen Pietsch.
Reagan Hughes finished with 26 saves in goal while his mates had 55 shots.
