Kris Dalton and Steve Makofka also scored for the Wranglers, while Jeff Kohut and Cole DeGraaf replied for the Vipers, who are in Stettler Friday to face the Lightning.

Layne Swier turned aside 35 shots for Blackfalds. Red Deer netminder Jason Pohl made 28 saves.

The Wranglers, who return to action Friday versus the host High River Flyers, were assessed 12 of 22 minor penalties.
