Young naturalist to speak

Guests at the Red Deer River Watershed Alliance’s monthly ambassador breakfast will get a chance to hear a young naturalist speak about something she is passionate about.

Guests at the Red Deer River Watershed Alliance’s monthly ambassador breakfast will get a chance to hear a young naturalist speak about something she is passionate about.

Zoe Thompson, a Grade 6 honour roll student with an affinity for nature, will talk about the Junior Forest Wardens. She will share some of her unique experiences and learner over her career as a warden.

The Junior Forest Wardens program provides young people, between the ages of six and 18, opportunities to get outdoors through camping, backpacking, canoeing, tree planting and more.

The breakfast is scheduled for Friday from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the Quality Inn North Hill, 7150 50th Ave.

The breakfast costs $15 per person or $8 for children aged six to 12 years.
