Let Street Ties Youth Outreach look after your lunch on Friday, as the youth organization hosts its annual barbecue downtown.
Proceeds from the barbecue will go towards the outreach effort — a program of the Parkland Youth Homes Society — providing homeless and high-risk youth with access to such things as food, counselling and résumé building.
The barbecue will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Street Ties Drop-in Centre at the corner of 50th Avenue and 51st Street in Red Deer.
Attendees can get a burger, chips and a pop for $5.
