POLL: In the current economic climate, are you noticing a lot of employment opportunities available in Central Alberta?

With gas sitting at nearly $2 a litre, rising inflation and other costs in our lives going up, it’s hard out there right now. The province is reporting a 6 per cent unemployment rate, yet that number was 7.4 per cent last month in Red Deer.

With gas sitting at nearly $2 a litre, rising inflation and other costs in our lives going up, it’s hard out there right now. The province is reporting a 6 per cent unemployment rate, yet that number was 7.4 per cent last month in Red Deer.

Minister of Jobs, Economy and Innovation Doug Schweitzer said an increase of 60,600 full-time jobs in May is incredible news for Albertans and 69 per cent of Canada’s total job growth was in Alberta.
