Red Deer Polytechnic has a new executive director of institutional planning.
Isaac Nyamekye comes to RDP from Athabasca University where he was the director of institutional research and data analytics. Prior to that role, he was the manager of institutional data analysis at the same university, and was a senior analyst of program analytics and evaluation for the provincial government.
“I am excited to join RDP at this important time. I look forward to forging relationships across the institution and collaborating with the RDP community to drive evidence-based decision-making, continuous improvement, effective project management and planning," said Nyamekye, in a statement.
"As I step into this role, I am eager to leverage RDP's strong culture of innovation and excellence toward enhancing organizational performance and continuous improvement to advance the institution’s mission.”
Nyameyke will join RDP on June 17.
“As a collaborative leader in institutional research, planning and analytics, Mr. Nyamekye has a proven track record of leveraging data to inform strategic enrolment management and enhance efficiencies in project management. His strong leadership in institutional planning and research will support the important work we are doing to achieve our 2030 Strategic Plan: Productivity and Social Impact," said Patrick Machacek, RDP's vice-president of development and partnerships.
Nyamekye’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness from the University of Ghana, a Master of Science in Resource Economics from the University of Alberta, and a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University.
He is pursuing a doctorate in higher education leadership at Western University.
Nyamekye also holds several designations, including Certified Analytics Professional, IBM Certified Data Science Professional, Amazon Web Services Certified Cloud Practitioner, and SAS Certified Advanced Programmer.
