The Alberta Teachers’ Association’s Red Deer Regional Catholic Schools union local is recognizing three students with post-secondary scholarships.
Each scholarship is valued at $1,000 and the recipients were selected by a panel of teacher volunteers.
Hana Wolfe, Christopher Marcinek and Duncan Hughes were this year’s recipients.
Wolfe was awarded the child of a member scholarship, Marcinek won the Leo Richer Education Student Scholarship and Hughes received the Margaretrose Willms Mature Student Scholarship.
The students were required to submit an essay responding to questions about their character, community participation and faith involvement.
