Hungry truckers driving the QEII Highway on Thursday can expect a special treat just outside of Penhold.

ATB Financial has teamed up with a pair of food trucks, The Hungry Beast out of Red Deer and Taiko Canteen from Calgary, to provide meals for truck drivers at the Petro Canada Cardlock at Junction 42.

“At ATB, we understand what a difficult time this is and we are doing what we can to help,” said ATB Financial’s Chris Turchansky in a press release.

“We are so grateful to those front-line workers — from health-care workers to grocery cashiers to truck drivers —across the country who are keeping us safe and working tirelessly to maintain the services Canadians need to get through this emergency. This is one way ATB is saying thank you.”

The food will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
