As part of the their social studies curriculum, 10 Grade 6 classes, about 230 students, took part in Cultural Diversity Day. The day raised the student’s awareness of cultural diversity, and some of the classes also focused their attention on individual diversity. Here Sarah Schultz, left, and Amanda Acorn, were challenged to come up with an innovative method of crossing a room. Students were asked to pair up and come up with a different method of making their way across the room, thereby stimulating problem solving and acceptance.
