Central Albertans will get their first peek inside the grand prize dream home in the Red Deer Kinsmen Dream Home Lottery on Saturday.

“We do apologize to the public. We usually are open a lot earlier,” said dream home chairman Leonard Cisco, adding that the hold-up was caused by continuing delays due to COVID-19.

The dream home, worth $810,000 with furnishings, is located at 388 Timberlands Dr., and was built by Alair Homes.

The 1,847-square-foot home, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a double garage, will be open starting Dec. 10 and 11 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Cisco said it’s the first time Kinsmen has teamed up with Alair Homes, who did a knockout job.

“It’s something very different and unique that we haven’t seen as one of our home projects before, so we’re very, very excited to see what they’ve brought to the table.”

He said checking out the home is a Christmas tradition for many central Albertans who often bring relatives who are visit to see what the new dream home has to offer.
