Peavey Mart will be opening a new store in Red Deer in 2022.
The company announced Wednesday that they have purchased land at 2810-50 Ave., to build a 40,000 square foot store that will employ up to 50 people. They plan to break ground on the store later this spring.
In a press release, the company said it had outgrown its current location. Red Deer is also home to Peavey Mart’s Home Office and Distribution Centre.
“We are thrilled to be giving Red Deer ‘the hometown advantage’ with this flagship Peavey Mart,” said Dave Simmonds, COO, Peavey Industries LP.
The new location will allow for better entry and exit access, easier loading of large items on trucks and trailers plus improved, safer flow of parking lot traffic.
“This project means so much to me personally, and to Peavey Industries. We remain dedicated to serving our customers and communities and value the commitments and relationships that have sustained us for decades in Red Deer and across Canada,” said Peavey Industries president and CEO Doug Anderson.
