Colleges and Universities across Alberta can prepare to welcome students back full-time next fall.

In a statement Thursday, Minister of Advanced Education Demetrios Nicolaides, said that with the majority of Alberta adults expected to receive at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by July, post-secondary schools can go back to in-person learning.

“With that in mind, I encourage all post-secondary institutions, students and families to prepare for a full return to on-campus learning this September,” he said in a statement.

“As we plan to transition back to in-person learning, the safety of students, staff and faculty will be our top priority.”

More to come.
