On a cold, windy September evening, the Red Deer Riggers prolonged their summer for one more night.

Wednesday, the Riggers chased in a pair of runs in the bottom of the first to tie the game at two, courtesy of RBIs from Josh Edwards and Jason Louis.

Red Deer fell behind 4-2 in the top of the fifth, before Derrick Chapman hit an RBI drouble to get the Riggers within one and Edwards ground out into a fielder’s choice two batters later to tie the game at four.

In the next at-bat, Louis hit a two-run home run to put the Riggers out front 6-4.

Red Deer heads to Edmonton Thursday night for Game 4 of the series.
