A man who allegedly fled police during a traffic stop was arrested in Red Deer on Wednesday.
RCMP said they tried to pull over a driver, who was a known prohibited driver and repeat offender, but he took off instead.
Police traced the man to a Deer Park home where officers from the Crime Reduction Team and Police Dog Services armed with a warrant arrested him.
Zachary Purdy, 29, has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving, three counts of driving while prohibited and single charges of flight from police and obstruction. Purdy remains in custody.
