Youth HQ in Red Deer will now have a Youth Advisory Council.

The YAC is for young people between the ages of 15-25, from all different backgrounds – they will be invited to provide input on topics such as policy and programming. Members will represent the concerns of youth in and out of the organization.

For those looking to join the YAC, the commitment varies from one to four years in the council with four years being the maximum term of service.

The first few months include training and workshops to ensure the youth are able to serve to the best of their abilities and meetings will be between one to two hours.

The deadline for applications is Aug. 11 and those interested in applying can fill out a form at forms.office.com/r/HwHjFez08m.
