Red Deer’s Eileen Park had a day to remember in her first career McLennan Ross Alberta Junior Tour event.

Monday at RedTail Landing in Nisku, the 11-year-old snagged a victory in the junior girls division. Park shot a 77 to win the division by three strokes over two-time defending tour champion Jayla Kucy of Camrose. Park qualified for the Tour Championship on Aug. 28 at Wolf Creek Golf Resort in Ponoka on Aug. 28 with the victory.

That same day, Saylar May, 11, of Rocky Mountain House earned a win with a 78 in the girls 11-2 division of the Maple Leaf Junior Golf mini-tour event at Paradise Canyon in Lethbridge. Red Deer’s Serin Girard, 10, shot a 78 and was third in the girls 9-10 division, while Bennett Love, 9, finished second in the boys 9-10 age group with a 72.
