Bantam AAA Rebels move on in AMBHL playoffs

The Red Deer Bantam AAA Rebels once again made quick work of their playoff opponent.

The Red Deer Bantam AAA Rebels once again made quick work of their playoff opponent.

Red Deer eliminated the Southeast Tigers of Medicine Hat in the best-of-three Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League series in just two games, clinching the victory with a win on the road Tuesday night.

In the win, Josh Perreault scored a pair of goals and also added an assist for the Rebels. His shorthanded tally 1:55 into the third period turned out to be the game-winning goal.

Rhett Miller also had a goal and an assist for Red Deer, while Will Christian and Emmett Barnett each added a goal. Spencer Claerhout, Caleb Hadland and Quinn Sampson-Goodman had assists for Red Deer. Brock Lott earned the win in net.

After 20 minutes the game was tied at one and after 40 minutes, tied at two.

The Rebels advanced to the best-of-five AMBHL Regional Finals and await their opponent.
