Eight local hockey players will have a chance to play this winter at the 2020 Alberta Winter Games.
Six teams with 20 players each born in 2005 and 2006 will take the ice at the event from Feb. 14-17 in Airdrie.
On the Zone 2 team, defencemen Emma Brooks (Innisfail) and Ryann Holbein (Red Deer), as well as Sydney Hollman (Penhold), are representing the region.
Defenceman Jaecia Joyce (olds), Lilly Howell (Penhold) and Belle Smith (Innisfail) will play for Zone 3. For Zone 4, forwards Hailey Jackson (Red Deer) and Calleja Mission (Red Deer) will suit up.

Of the 120 players selected. 106 play in the Bantam Elite Division of the Alberta Female Hockey League. Rosters were selected based on performances at regional camps held November 29 - December 1 in Innisfail and Wetaskiwin.
