Chiefs fall in fourth OT, out of AMHL playoffs

CALGARY– The Red Deer Optimist Chiefs were upset 2-1 in the fourth overtime by the Calgary Royals and are out of the Alberta Midget Hockey League playoffs.

CALGARY– The Red Deer Optimist Chiefs were upset 2-1 in the fourth overtime by the Calgary Royals and are out of the Alberta Midget Hockey League playoffs.

The Royals won the best-of-five-series 3-1 and advance to the third round.

Optimist Chiefs forward Ryan McBeath tied Game 4 at one in Calgary with just 13 minutes left in the game to force overtime.

The Chiefs fell behind 2-0 in the series, but forced Game 4 with a win at home on Monday.
