Friends on Ice Ringette tournament returns for 36th year

One of the biggest ringette tournaments in Central Alberta is set to return to Red Deer next weekend.

One of the biggest ringette tournaments in Central Alberta is set to return to Red Deer next weekend.

The 36th annual Friends On Ice tournament, hosted by the Red Deer Ringette Association will hit the ice from Jan. 3-5.

Close to 1,000 players and 65 teams, including 20 teams from Red Deer Ringette are expected to participate across 14 age groups this year.
