Football fans will have to wait at least another day to watch the Central Alberta Football League city semifinals.

With wind gusts up to 100 km/h in Red Deer Friday, the decision was made to postpone both semi-final games.

The Hunting Hills Lightning were set to play the Notre Dame Cougars at 5 p.m., with the Lindsay Thurber Raiders taking on the Lacombe Rams at 8 p.m. at Great Chief Park.

In Sylvan Lake, the Lakers still hosted the Camrose Trojans, despite the nasty conditions. Sylvan Lake won 45-6.

The two semifinals will be played on Monday at Great Chief Park, with the times the same as originally scheduled.
