Ouellete and McDowell bow out in semis of Alberta Match Play Championship

Max Sekulic and Brendan MacDougall ensured there wouldn’t be an all-Central Alberta final at the Alberta Match Play Championships at River Spirit Golf Club in Calgary.

MacDougall, the defending champion at the event needed to extra holes to knock off Springbrook native Chandler McDowell in the semis, while Sekulic defeated Red Deer’s Jace Ouellette 5&4.

Sekulic edged the two-time champ MacDougall in the final.
