It was a successful weekend for the home side at the RDC Thanksgiving Classic.
The Kings finished the tournament 2-1, with a 79-69 win over the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings and a 115-89 victory Saturday over the Burman University Bobcats.
RDC will open the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference season Oct. 19 at home against the Olds College Broncos.
The Queens ended the weekend 1-2, finishing with a 58-49 win over the SAIT Trojans. They had tough losses to Briercrest College and Concordia University of Edmonton.
They will also open the ACAC season on Oct. 19 at home against the Broncos.
