The RDC Kings scored 20 points in four straight quarters to pick up a victory in Medicine Hat.

RDC pulled out a gutsy 94-91 win over the Medicine Hat College Rattlers Saturday in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference play, after being blown out 103-76 a day earlier.

Fourth-year Spencer Klassen once again powered the Kings to the win with 30 points, including shooting 10-for-10 from the free throw line.

Five Kings fouled out of the game and they finished the contest with just five players available. Barzin Eskandarkhah also had a monster night with a double-double, scoring 24 points and chipping in 10 rebounds. Ramiro Martinez Quintanilla Jimenez was a big contributor as well, with 18 points and six boards.

The Kings trailed 52-49 at half but outscored Medicine Hat 25-20 in the third quarter to carry an advantage into the fourth.

RDC shot 43 per cent from the field and went 28-for-31 from the free-throw line in the victory. The Rattlers finished just 51 per cent from the foul line.

On the women’s side, the Rattlers cruised past the RDC Queens 75-50.

Only Harneet Sidhu and Samantha Wade hit double figures in the loss for the Queens. Both first-year guards from B.C. contributed 21 of the Queens 50 points on the night.

Kendell Kuntz scored a game-high 25 points in the win for the Rattlers.

The Queens has lost three in a row and will host the Lethbridge College Kodiaks next weekend for a pair of games.
