The RDC Kings got some good fortune ahead of the Alberta College Athletic Conference men’s hockey playoffs.

After the Kings suffered a 4-3 loss to the SAIT Trojans Saturday night in Calgary, NAIT knocked off MacEwan, which meant RDC earned a first-round playoff bye.

In Saturday’s loss, Kyle Salaway, Dylan Thudium and Chance Longjohn all scored for RDC. Kings goalie Arik Weersink made 32 saves.

RDC finished the regular season with a 20-6-2-0 and locked up second in the ACAC standings.
