Edgar Field was buzzing with soccer action Friday at the RDC Kings and Queens kicked off their annual invitational tournament.
The Queens opened the tournament with a 4-2 loss to The King’s University Eagles. Sarah Donald and Mikayla Fujimoto had goals in the loss for RDC. RDC plays the Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves on Saturday at 9 a.m. and the Keyano College Huskies at 4 p.m. Sunday, they’ll host the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder at 1 p.m.

The Kings will also play the Wolves Saturday at 11 a.m. and the Huskies Sunday at 3 p.m.
The Ambrose University Lions, Lethbridge College Kodiaks and University of Augustana Vikings are also participating.
Both the Kings and Queens start the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference on Sept. 7 at Medicine Hat College. They will host Olds College on Sept. 13.
