The RDC Queens finished the Canadian Collegiate Curling National Championships on a high.
After an up and down week for the Queens at one of the lone sporting events happening in Canada as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, RDC brought home some hardware.
The knocked off the rival Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder 7-5 Sunday in Portage La Prairie, Man. to capture bronze at the national championships.

RDC had 2-1 lead after three ends and the game was tied at five through eight ends. After a blank in then ninth, the Queens scored two with the hammer in the 10th to win over the Thunder.
The Queens finished 4-3 in round robin play and managed to grab the fourth and final playoff spot thanks to holding the tiebreaker over the NAIT Ooks.
In the semifinal Sunday morning, the Queens dropped a 7-4 game to the eventual champion Douglas College Royals of B.C.
The Queens were represented by Jaycee Bourke (lead), Carmyn Penner (lead/spare), Erica Watts (second), Emily Plett (third) and Hollie Vincent (skip).
