The Red Deer Vipers are red hot this month.

Saturday, the Vipers knocked off the Medicine Hat Cubs 4-3 in their only game of the weekend in Heritage Junior B Hockey League play.

It was their fourth win in five games this month.

Jace Paarup tied the game in the first period with a shorthanded tally and the Vipers pulled ahead 3-1 in the second behind goals from Cole Hardman and Rylan Burns.

Matias Letwin buried on the power play 5:15 into the third and that proved to be the game-winning goal. Vipers goalie Dawson Weatherill stopped 38 shots in the win.

The Sylvan Lake Wranglers fell 6-2 Saturday to the Coaldale Copperheads. Kody Wold and Kyle Richmond had goals in the loss.

Okotoks knocked off Rocky Mountain House 6-3 and Sunday, Medicine Hat beat Stettler 5-1.
