A busy summer will continue for Kelsey Lalor.

The Red Deer product was named by Baseball Canada to the 2019 Women’s National team on Friday.

The selection comes after a three-day camp for the team in Okotoks. Before that, Lalor helped team Alberta win bronze at the Women’s Invitational Championships in a five-day national event.

Lalor, 21, is a team Canada vet, having suited up for the red and white four times prior to this summer.

Team Canada, along with Lalor, is returning 10 players that won bronze last summer at the 2018 World Baseball Cup in Florida.

Canada is currently ranked second in the WBSC Women’s Baseball rankings and will compete at the COPABE Women’s Baseball World Cup Qualifier in Aguascalientes, Mexico from August 18-25.

Red Deer’s Hayley Lalor was not selected to the team.
