Thunder Country gymnasts medal in Calgary

Five members of the Thunder Country Trampoline and Gymnastics Club brought home medals from the Elite Canada Trampoline Championships in Calgary on the weekend.

Five members of the Thunder Country Trampoline and Gymnastics Club brought home medals from the Elite Canada Trampoline Championships in Calgary on the weekend.

Spencer Kooman had the strongest showing, earning gold in the National Level 5 category trampoline and silver in the double mini trampoline.

Sophie Nossak also captured gold in the National level 5 women’s 16 and under trampoline, while Kegan Soehn earned a win in the National Senior Men’s trampoline. He also added gold in the synchronized trampoline with Jeremine Chartier of Quebec. Kalena Soehn added a bronze in the National Senior Women’s double mini trampoline.

Zach Blakely finished just off the podium, with fourth place in the senior men’s trampoline as well as fifth in the double mini trampoline.

Ashton Henfrey was fifth in the trampoline and sixth in the double mini in the national junior men’s 18 plus age group. Henfrey and Kooman earned fourth in the novice men’s synchronized trampoline.
