RDC Kings goalie Arik Weersink stood tall for the second night in a row.

One night after Weersink posted a 29-save performance in Edmonton, the second-year goalie from Lethbridge turned aside 32 shots at home in a 4-2 win over the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder.

Four different goal scorers found the mark for the Kings as they improved their record to 6-1-1 on the year.

Second-year defender Trevor Costello, fourth-year Scott Ferguson, Jacob Wozney and Tyler Podgorenko buried in the victory. Both Podgorenko and Ferguson had a goal and an assist and Chase Thudium added a pair of helpers.

RDC fell behind 2-1 early in the second, before Ferguson and Wozney buried 2:13 apart. Podgorenko scored with 57 seconds left.

The Kings didn’t have a power play in the loss but killed off four of five by the Thunder.

RDC is now tops in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference with the 6-1-1 record, three straight wins and 13 points.
