Remembering Treena Mielke

Remembering Treena Mielke

It was with sadness that I heard the news of Treena Mielke’s passing, as I have known Treena for several years. I remember her back during her days with the Sylvan Lake News , and then we worked together for several years at the Red Deer Express . Treena went on to be editor of the Rimbey Review – and not only did she cover any community she worked in really well, she was also very much appreciated for her superb columns, which appeared in several local papers over the years.

My lawyer spouse will be first online with Ticketmaster for most concerts by entertainers he likes who are playing in Calgary or Edmonton or anywhere he travels (same for sports) and he attends most live events in the City. With my two, now adult, daughters being competitive dancers and performers from the age of three, we covered many concerts but many other performances including dance and live theatre.
